Pasifika Festival 2022 is an event showing and performing pacific island cultural in New Zealand. Throughout the project, I decide to combine two themes into one theme for the event and they were constellation and Pacific traditional. With the theme, I created a story in order to show a connection to the drawings of the sea creatures. 

In the sky there was once a king with 9 sons and among the sons was the youngest sibling is named Tama. One Day the king gave all of his sons one coconut full of gold, and told them “Sons, I want you to go and give this coconut full of gold to a woman in another island beside us, who is waiting for it”. All the sons left together the next day to deliver the coconut to the woman. During the journey, all the sons except the youngest one was drinking to celebrate for their start of journey. A few hours later terrible storm came and wash everyone off the boat. All the sons except Tama lost the item that they were suppose to deliver, so they each transform into a different sea creature in order to search for it. While they search for their lost coconut, Tama decided to continue to swim to the other island, delivering the one and only coconut to the woman. News spread to the king about his 8 sons, lost his gift. The king ordered his 8 sons to come forward, punishing them by transforming them into sea creatures that they were, and sending them back to earth in search for the treasure. As for the 8 treasures that was lost by the Tama's brothers, each of the treasure became an island.
